Yeah, that "crack" when a rusty one comes loose doesn't travel through the geared wrench anywhere near like it does through a cheater pipe... Much better for my general attitude by the time the last nut comes loose...

They might be heat treated... When I put ten new tires on my forty year old truck, I checked, and the bars are quite stout.

The small bar is 3/4 inch round bar, 21 inches in length. The large bar is 1-1/8 inch DOM tube with a .175 inch wall, kind of beat up though, might be 3/16... Anyhow, it's 36 inches in length. The large bar is the reaction member to steady the center gear in the absence of a bud cap.
