Good job, and resourcefulness on getting it back together! Another trick that may help in the future, is a couple of 2-3’ pieces of 3/4” black iron pipe. Lean the tire up against the hub, stick the pipes trough the lug holes and onto the studs, lift slightly on the pipes until the wheel slides on.
Hey Toby, will 4” tube fit in standard 5x5x1/2 or do you use a special tube thats made like receiver tube, thats slightly over sized and the weld broached out? Ive been looking for something like this for a few projects.
Hey, I’ll buy the 105 and deliver it to him for an even trade on his m322!
Just kidding Toby... the m322 is just a little out of my budget right now. I am looking for something smaller/cheaper right now to haul my truck camper to Haspin. I’ll start a new thread for opinions on what I need.
What where the singles rated at, and did you need to swap out to longer studs?
Hmm... I’ve been looking for around a 25ton drag to move my loader short distances around the farm. Do you know where I can find any of the manufacturers info?
I would guess he used his tape measure to check for bending or racking mainly due to the severity of the impact. Just as long as the heat didn’t get to the bottom flange of the main beams fore of the axles, it will be fine for his peace of mind.
Do you have a fairly accurate weight and length on those? I may be able to meet or drop them at Simps on the 29th, on my way to Lynchburg, if they’ll fit in the camper.
