Thankfully just a cheap truck I bought for parts. It dropped a valve on the previous owner, he pulled the head and let the cylinders rust up. It needs at least a head, turbo, two injectors, 6 pistons/liners, and after cooler, just for starters. I have only robed a few small goodies off it...

We used to use a aerosol spray on penetrant dye for checking welds, was some incredible stuff, I’d bet it would light up the smallest cracks in a block?

Whats your best guess on what your engine ate? Also anyone know if these heads where prone to crack between the valves, or did something abnormal cause that?

Yeh, lot less chance of needing the parts if you have them paid for sitting there.

Pull the head, hopefully you wont even need to mess with the lower end.

The bars an your bottom die are too close together, spread them about twice the distance and you’ll need a lot less tonnage, but then your bottom plate may also need to be a little heavier or reinforced.
