M1009 has no power now that it's warmer in AZ?

Yes, a manual primer is one of the best upgrades to our CUCV's. The filter housing on my 85 M1008 started leaking, so we swapped in a Duramax fuel filter set up. Fuel filter changes and priming the system is a breeze now. As soon as I come across another D'max fuel filter set up, I'll snag it...

Thaaat's a bit Ummm... thaaaat's a wee bit too high. I live in rural west Ga... the pricing out here is lower than compared to a shop in Atlanta. Try finding a shop in a rural area to rebuild it.

Water pump issue was internal Emissions?? Next time you fire up the engine and gets warm, pull the oil dipstick. If there's noticeable smoke blowing out of the dipstick tube, you have a blow by issue. Did you ever change lift pump?

M1009 has no power now that it's warmer in AZ?

If the engine is not rattling like a metal trash can with rocks in it on a cold start, it's either a worn out engine, fuel issues or both. It should be a noisy lol.

M1009 has no power now that it's warmer in AZ?

These n/a 6.2 diesels don't exactly run hot to begin with... Had these symptoms on my 86 M1008; excessive blow by, 190 coolant temps, down on power, no heat coming out of the vents. Turns out the water pump was the culprit. Changed it out and now the engine never gets warmer than 150 degrees...

That is an odd set of symptoms.... when the air temp is over 90, is your engine running hotter?
