Deuceaid,
No idea about what the turbo does as far as PSI but I know I have a steady and constant air pressure supply with the hard plumbed OEM system so I decided to just go with that. Plus I can use the oem system even when the motor is not running for a little while until the tanks run dry...
joshuaz223,
That is awful kind of you. I'm not to far from you. I am located in the Finger Lakes. I think I have found a guy I can get the tires from and he is going to help me flip the hubs. He told me he did not think I should because the front and rear tires would "be close" to running in the...
salvorone,
I posted more detail earlier in this thread about the intercom. A few guys have PMed me and I advised them to start shopping on eBay for a aviation intercom. What I suggested was to buy a "portable" intercom for two or four people. Of course you will need headsets too. Make sure you...
Guys, I have to go to work but I will be back this afternoon and try to answer your questions. Just to be clear I did not convert the Deuce over to 12V. I just added a stand alone 12V system for any 12V items I want. It is completely separate from the 24V system. I think that is the beauty of it.
No problem 59apache. That is far better then any photos I could take of the bracket way down deep in the engine compartment. That's perfect.
Harleyrkc, I hope that helps. Take care.
Some of you guys have asked what kind of intercom I use. I have a portable intercom made by FlighCom. Even though the intercom is "portable" I have it hard mounted as you can see.
I believe it is a FlightCom I really like it and I found one like mine on eBay right now and it is priced at $55.00 US. It is not the same but pretty close. I think you would like something like this. Good luck.
FLIGHTCOM PORTABLE AVIATION INTERCOM | eBay
Oddsho,
Regarding the intercom I can help you out there too. I am a Private Pilot so I will let you in on a little secret. If you go to eBay and look up aviation intercoms you will find hundreds of them! I bought mine for under $50.00 US and it runs on a 9V battery or I can hard wire it to my...
Okay! Okay! I will get rid of the front tires!!! Haha. I am trying to find someone in the Upstate New York or Norther PA area that has 7 Michelin XZL 395/85R20 and can help me (or do it for me) single my Deuce out at a fair price. I really want to do it but I don't have the space or tools to...
Sorry about that. After I replied I wondered if maybe you were talking about the fording kit. opps.
There is some info on SS about it but basically I did this. Each axle has a vent. I unscrewed the vents and screwed in a hose connector with Teflon tape to seal it. Then I ran 3/8" fuel line...
Yolner,
No problem. Here is what I used. First I contacted George Muzek who is/was a Steel Soldier member who was selling the 12 alternator brackets. I just did a quick search and I can't find a PM from him but I do have his mobile number and e-mail address if you need it. I will not post it...
RavageRitual,
Thank you very much. I'm glad to help. I have learned a great deal from this forum with the help of some wonderful people. I hope to be able to help others any chance I can. I have attached a few photos of the fuse box if that helps.
I mounted it fairly well protected under the...
Gosh darn it Jonathan you're right! I forgot to take a photo of the fuse box! I'll try to get a photo of it tomorrow morning for you. It's a pretty simple design and the actual fuse box was a generic one from AutoZone.
Here in Upstate New York it is 4 degrees right now and I'm thinking it...
Thank you. I use garden hose to shield my hydraulic hoses that rub on my tractor too. They last for a long time and when they do wear through I just replace with more garden hose, a few zip ties and I'm back in business. Works well for me.
I know. I need to put my spare there but I hate messing with any split rims. I know I shouldn't but they still scare the **** out of me. I'm hoping to flip my hubs, single it out and put new XLs on all the corners and be done with it. At least that is the plan...
