Another reason for moving the hydraulic pump is it was in the way of having a spare tire in the stock location. With the pump relocated, I could install a spare tire mount. After more staring and measuring, I decided a stock mount could go back in the stock location, but would have to be lowered...

After lots of cutting, grinding, and hammering, I finally got the pump bracket off the truck. I figured I would be able to reuse the bracket, but would have to modify it a bit. It needed more upward adjustment... There was just enough room for the bracket to fit perfectly on the transfer...

Well I finally got back to working on the gooseneck hitch.

I hate to admit it, but the stump won. Even with all the brakes locked and extra weight on the back, it still just drug it across the concrete.

I like it! Is that an electric winch? That looks like a convenient out-of-the-way place to store the towbar.
