I came across a vast conspiracy today! It seems that the Novita folks who make an electromagnetic flasher module for these trucks got together with Chevy back in 1984 and conspired to make adding LED lights to the trucks difficult. I put in an EL12 flasher module for the flashers. They work...

I wire brushed the seating surface first and I was planning on the re-torque in about a week.

Replaced tie-rod, recentered the center link, and installed 1.5" spacers. Steering is tight and right and the death-wobble is cured! Now for an alignment.

I have the inner tie rod on the way, so once I replace that (it's joint is loos as well) and check the damper I'll worry about shimming it up. But that is an awesome idea!

I figure that she's only got 35k on her in 40 years. Might as well replace the parts that are worn. But with the thicker tires on her, the driver's side tire already ate my BRAND NEW boot! So spacers are on the way now too...damnit!

Set about curing my death wobble today. New centering-link ends and new upper kingpin bushings and springs. Found out that the lower kingpins are most likely shot too. Got those kits and an inner tie-rod on the way. Progression on the springs/bushings pics are new/driver/passenger.

Yup! Found that here too. Like I said, it LOOKS simple, I just want to make sure it IS that simple from someone who's done it!

Without necroposting, and if this isn't the correct spot, feel free to correct me, but if anyone has done the load sensing valve delete can you message me? It looks like a fairly simple procedure, but I want to see if there are any tips or tricks to make sure I don't run into too many hang-ups.
