    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

I would have to look into it a little more but pretty sure I traced the wire tag back to the ether system. It’s been a few months though so…

Yes it’s a thermistor which senses coolant temp to inhibit the cold start ether system above a certain temperature. Here is the link to one sold for the 3116 which I highly doubt a different part number was used for the 3126. Last I checked several months ago I couldn’t find one in stock but may...

I will have to think on it some more, I did consider that briefly but unsure of the path of the crossover hose and the risk of it getting damaged being at a low point.

Looking at this fuel pump to transfer fuel from the driver side aux tank over to the main tank when it gets low. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filters/fuel_pumps/efi_fuel_pumps/efi_electric_in-line_pumps/parts/12-170

Hey thanks, I was trying to find the dude who installed an electric hydro pump and this is him so thank you for that. Also interested in that little dryer as well so searching for some more details on it. Not really a fan of the the tank setup but definitely some good ideas throughout. EDIT: I...

cleaned up pretty good and finally got that kneeling cylinder off…boy are those bolts hard to get to.

How well does regular enamel hold up to the heat though? I just coated the exhaust manifold with some VHT header paint which I know won’t even really last all that long. And thanks for looking out, the truck is actually parked with nose slightly downhill so I’m not worried about the cab. I...

Surprisingly enough all of these manifold bolts came out no problem. I was sure one was going to snap on me just because that’s my luck.

I do like that it retains the use of the OE snorkel.

Thank you but I think I’m going to go with the Donaldson P/N D100031 filter housings on mine but man are they expensive! You don’t happen to have any of those do you? What’s the diameter of the one @chucky has? My main goal is space saving for these so if they’re comparable and I can run only 1...

    Yes sir that’s the one.

    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

Most definitely. Probably should go ahead and do that since I’m about to start modifying intake and relocating components. Also going to extend frame 2ft. Wondering if I could just get this thread moved to keep everything in one place.

    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

Oh yes the frame will include wheel wells for suspension travel.

    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

Oh that’s a good idea, I will have to look more into yours. I will be moving the air tanks aft to make room for the added fuel tank and the batteries into the compartment above the driver side fuel tank. I wont be doubling up the frame but mounting a “floating frame” for articulation.

    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

I will be doing essentially that but remounting it to the original toolbox. My habitat will have two mirrored fuel tanks one on each side of the truck with space above for storage compartments. The area above the transmission will be a dinette and considering the seating for that makes space...

Starting to look so naked with the intake and tire carrier removed.

Well had to adjust the cab bracket all the way up and tighten the hell out of the rubber puck but she’s sitting on the pins.

    Mav’s M1088A1 Conversion

Ahh ok yeah those pins makes perfect sense now thank you. Well using a chunk of rubber and my greenlee plug cutter I was able to make a puck that I think should work out.
