Over the course of the winter, this section of driveway got really muddy and developed deep, bumpy rutts which were actually pretty dangerous. I went out today and spent about 45 minutes fixing it. Scalped the high spots, filled the rutts, spread everything evenly with float, then drove over...

It was a nice day today. Went out and did some maintenance and checkups. Nothing major, but I snapped a few pics because I know you like pics around here. Also, I know some of you were curious about that rifle mount I have... I tried it with a thick broom handle, and it worked fine. I'm sure...

    It's a GWG2000 though. The FLU of watches. Also, you can't scare me - I'm married. :p

How come I was able to get an 8 ton vehicle shipped to me within two days of finding a hotshotter, but this sumbitch in Virginia hasn't shipped the 4 ounce watch I ordered 10 days ago? Sorry... just venting.

I'm very new to owning an SEE, so I'm reticent to offer information for fear of being wrong, but just from my general knowledge of how things work, I don't believe there should be any oil anywhere in the pneumatic lines. If you were seeing something leaking from the pneumatic hose(s), I think...

If you tilt the cab, can you document that process? I've seen a few times where people did it, but I'm still not 100% on all the steps. I don't need it yet, but I'm not fooling myself - we'll all have to do it at some point I'm sure and the more documentation the better.

That's something I hadn't considered before... that people might want to use the SEE in movies, etc. But yeah, I'd be leary about it like you. I'm still here, BTW, in case anyone wondered (I'm sure they didn't). I'm watching the thread. I just haven't had anything to add lately, especially...

    Mightcouldbe he means the jackhammer.

I haven't tested them yet, but I disassembled them to check the hammer mechanisms. I didn't see much sign of wear on hammers or anvils, so I'll be very surpised if they need any kind of rebuild. The flat face connectors they came with are already the correct size for the tool circuit on the FLU...

My impacts were delivered today (that was fast). They're both Stanley brand and have flat face hydraulic connections, and the 1/2" appears to be the same model that normally comes with the FLU419 - but the 1" is a different model. It appears to be the one below. I was worried it would be too...

So I already had the jackhammer with all attachments. I just ordered the 1/2" and 1" Impact wrenches. Now I'm keeping an eye out for the chainsaw, hammerdrill and auger. The chainsaw will be easy, but if anyone knows where I can pick up a hammerdrill that doesn't cost freaking 3 grand, that...

OK, OK. But you can't be too mean to me. It's my first time doing anything at all with it other than test to make sure things work.

I used the SEE loader's "float" mode to smooth out the driveway at this rental today (it's mud season in NY). There! I used it! :D

Hey, I just thought I'd share that our offer on the Jamestown property was accepted. We'll be closing in 30 days or so, and moving out there after the school year ends (don't want to uproot the kids in the middle of the year). So... yay, things are moving forward slowly but surely.

Does anyone have specific recommendations for fluids? portal, differential, brake, clutch, tranny, engine, hydraulic, cylilinder dry lube, etc? I know the information is already out there, but some of it is conflicting. Just want to make sure I'm treating the machine right from the perspective...

Most important part of this post. AA is offering free donuts. Yes, please! Cake donut, with no icing though... icing is gross.

Apparently you haven't seen me in the 2017 world strongman competition. ;) Of course, I wasn't in it - which is likely why you didn't see me.

Yeah, I've started to look around for a spare... the mog just isn't complete without it.

Lol, just trying to run through the thing and see what works. Wipers work good, though ;)

Here's the promised video of the 419. Don't be too harsh on me, I'm still learning the ropes... but here she is. Enjoy! And let me know if you notice anything that needs attention. The video is in 4k, but defaults to 1080 I think. If you want 4k you'll have to select that option on Youtube.
