looks the same except for the holes on the back of the head side outlets... if you plug those it's right i guess... shape and fittings look ok... though i don't have it in my hands to judge size effectively.
honestly had he not been there. i would never have checked. This is why i don't like to work alone. you can check eachother. I'm glad he was there.
yea i know... and you wanna know why it was leaking... my buddy when i RTV'd the gaskets said don't tighten it all the way let it set then tighten... they were loose. Basically i'm stupid and after tightening everything all is well. i think i'm going to drain out that stop leak **** tomorrow...
ok well got new part thanks to magnus and everything is all hooked up... and leaking. Ever single connection is leaking. so i'm waiting for it to stop leaking then going to take everything off redo gaskets and then RTV everything. i know rtv is bad and whatnot but i'm kinda done messing with...
i can't find the part... and then that means i have to pull 4 more steel bolts in aluminum most likely they will break as well. All i have to heat it with is a MAP gas torch. No oxy/acetylene. Who can i call that will have some means to helicoil it? keep in mind it is now drilled waaaay off...
bottom bolt is screwed... my buddy was helping me out for a bit while i addressed my busted finger... he drilled off center and its now a complete mess... anyone have any ideas? i'm kinda at a loss here...
ok so update... i helicoiled the top bolt... going to sears to get an air drill to drill out the second. only broke 3 bits in the whole process... there is some form of get this... jb weld on the bolts themselves. i thought it was rtv but no it looks exactly like jbweld.. F NJ NATIONAL GUARD!!!
i know of keenserts i also know i won't be able to get them today... and they are quite expensive. MAP gas is the yellow can of the crappy propane like torches?
so they are M10x1.5... i'm gonna try PB Blaster and heat before i drill... i bought these interesting stump remover socket things... i'm gonna try it also used this as an excuse to buy a 33 gallon air compressor from sears :) I like the idea of the air drill. Will one of those crappy propane...
anyone know the thread size? i am gonna buy a thread repair helicoil but i don't want to buy the whole kit if i know the size and TPI i can just buy the one i need... both bolts are shot beyond recognition. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
