    Looking at the TM for your Radio its not designed to transmit on 27Mhz, (the lowest usable frequency is 30Mhz. https://www.radionerds.com/images/a/ab/TM_11-5820-401-34-2-1.pdf Without significant internal mods you won't get this radio to work on 27Mhz.
