    I agree with artisan. Most of the time people turn them off in the summer and forget to reopen then for the winter. There on the passenger side of the engine.

    So far the biggest weAK link has been flywheel bolts. Apparently a RMS rebuilt trucks had to short of flywheel bolts because they come out easy and brake.

    I have used it a few time while going down the road with no issues. I mostly use it at stops to get back to 6th or 4th ( the gears I normally start out in. )There a tuff trans if your manifold is behaving . I have seen if the shift piston O rings go bad could cause a 12th or 13th gear to break...

    Its my understanding that it will disengage at 2300 rpm even with the retarder on as it is there to keep you from blowing up your engine.

    That was exactly what I was talking about !! scares the beegeebees out of you ( thought I had broken something) . once your speed drops to like 50 it re engages by itself. But until it does your free wheeling ! That's why increasing tire size is better to increase your top speed then increasing...

    Mine runs in the red most of the time. Nothing to worry about. What will scare the bee geebeze out of you is go down a small hill with the pedal to the medal in 16th gear. and see what happens when you go up the hill on the other side lol It got my attension til I read the manuals deeper ;-)

    The 1 on the tachograph only comes on after 50 ish. it doesn't seem to be linked to the tach .

    If I remember correctly it indicates your doing highway speed. either 50 or 55 its been a while since I drove mine :-(

    Double check that your 24v outlet works. on 2 of my trucks they dont. haven't had time to investigate why ???

    Did you try 1 page back on this very same thread post #124 ?? I have a M920 and love it. You can get away with hauling more weight ( with the 80000 combined weight rule ) with the m916, since you have less weight( since you dont have the tag axle). also shorter turning radius.
