In my last post I inserter a thread link, in that thread is mentioned the quarter trick but using two quarters not three.
You have turned up your fuel but probably too much, be careful.
And yes, your hh may be fine.
Here's a thread on bypassing the fdc and turning the fuel down after doing so.
But you could thin out your mix before bypassing the fdc to see if it changes anything.

Is your fdc bypassed?
Mine is and I've run filtered wmo of all different consistencies through mine without any Ill effect.
But it's best to run wmo mixed with gas or diesel 50/50, imo.

This tm has some test procedures on the fuel system, there are other tm's that deal with the fuel system as well.
In my opinion, this doesn't sound like a valve adjustment issue.
I think your dealing with a fuel system problem.
I would look at injectors and injection pump, a compression test wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Maybe start with a fuel pressure test.
Those valve cover gaskets are usually reusable if your carefull.
What rpm doe's the engine idle at before warmed up?
After warmed up,doe's it stall when coming down off of higher rpm when letting off the peddle?
