    Have you opened it up to see how it looks inside? Before you buy one I'd suggest opening yours, it's basically a very simple magnetic solenoid inside so unless it's a solid block or rust, you may be able to easily clean it and get it going again.

    Yes... Love tap is the optimal wording.... and notice that I also stated that if the love taps work, then take it apart to see what is causing it to hang up, so it can be fixed properly.

    This may sound like a odd solution but, it sounds like your K1 is hanging up internally. If you have already measured things per the TM using a meter, that means you have the top cover off and K1 exposed. Go in there and tap sharply on K1 with a rubber mallet or something a few times, than fire...
