Mostly here.... ARMY TM 9-2320-365-20-3 FRONT AND REAR AXLE MAINTENANCE PAGE 10-1
Some good info here as well.... ARMY TM 9-2320-365-34-2 FRONT AXLE MAINTENANCE PAGE 9-1 and REAR AXLE MAINTENANCE 10-1
Correct. The rear is easy, just pull the axles and drive shaft and replace the 3rd member. The front knuckles stay but you need to remove everything else. It's a little daunting at first but not too bad once you get into it.
It's the best upgrade I've made and you won't notice a difference on the bottom end. Still plenty of torque. I was hesitant to do the swap myself but once I got into it it really wasn't that bad. The hardest part was dealing with the crusty U joints.
Not sure who has gears but here's a thread about the speedo. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?173032-A0-High-Speed-Gears-Speedometer-Dip-Switch-Adjustment
Hey guys... I'm working on the gear change right now and it's going great except this last part on the front. What's the trick to removing it? I tried knocking it around with a wood block and hammer but it's not moving. Bigger hammer?
I'm not sure what's available right now but when I got mine from http://premiermetalbuyers.com I just bought the center sections. From what I hear they're sold out right now though.
