I will second the motion. Shortly after ChevyC-60 completed his truck, it became my truck. The system works flawlessly. Still have the truck.

I wish I had the ability to capture similar data on mine since it has two 12V alts. I can say this, it works. I am considering using an ambulance setup along with the A/C stuff on another civy project. It is that dependable.

Mine is mentioned on here. Its the one with both alts replaced with 12V Leece Nevilles. It has worked flawlessly for years.

I didn't know the exact details as you had laid them out but I do know that my truck has never faltered after 2 years on the road with it.

While the mounting system is referred to similarly (J mount I think) the 27SI has a smaller frame.

If you refer to post 11, that truck mentioned is now mine. Not one single issue since the update. Super easy.

Joe, revisit post #11. It's even easier than rewiring like a standard CUCV. The ambulance ChevyC60 referred to is now mine. He installed 1 wire alts just like Mark did but added a second alt and just wired the lower alternator to the rear battery. It's brutally simple and works flawlessly.

I have a few questions here. Mark, on yours the lower alt is installed as factory. The upper is a single wire unit. Using the single wire unit makes that a completely stand alone unit, is that correct? Is the idiot light completely out of the equasion now? Roy, on yours with 2 stand alone...
