I think I may have a vise vice. Installed this today. It's a itty bitty guy but at least it's a Wilton.

Yeah, there are a few big differences in the boxes. I have a small access door on the passenger side where the O2 bottle goes. It actually lays flat on the floor right behind where the welder used to be. There are 2 pieces of angle to strap it to. Since I only carry a 125CF bottle of O2, I...

It's the older Dodge M887 body. The receptacle is where the factory fuel filler was on the Dodge. Mine is under the fender now but I plan to bend up some tube so that I can move the filler to that spot. While there I'll tee into the vent line so I can refuel on the fly from another tank in the...

Still underway Roy. Fabbing linkages for the crane at the moment. Needed a vise so this was born.

Bed eh? Would need to bob a litter and lose the vise.

Here is a pic of how the vise is situated for work. I really need to get it cleaned up and painted.

The nuts for the vise mount are welded on the bottom. Vise can come off in no time and I can bolt my transfer tank right to the table for long trips. The bench can be pinned in various locations and the leg is only needed at full extension. More pics later.

I thought long and hard over that one. The vice is turned that way to close the door but operationally it faces the end of the table. Unlike many workbenches, I can work off the end of this one. It actually functions surprisingly well there. Instead of turning the vise to one corner or the...

Here is an update on mine. Since its the older M887 body, it was originally outfitted with the Hobart welder. Since I don't do any mobile welding and already have air onboard, I elected to get the body sans welder. This was my answer for good use of the space. Still a work in progress but you...

Here are a few of mine finally. Please accept my apologies, the sun is brutal today and shadows everything.

Doug, many of your posts inspire me. I'm trying to outfit mine with a purpose as you have done with yours. I call it the torch cart right now.

Sure you could do a crane. A little pickup crane right inside the back. Let me ask you this. Do you have a crane mounted to your toolbox? Probably not. Consider this a rollaway tool box like Steve's yellow one. Heck, might even go A3 or M105 chassis since you drive the deuce mostest.

See, if you had followed our lead and got a few platforms, the lifted thing wouldn't have mattered.

Somewhere I have photochopped pics of a bobbed deuce with an SECM body on it. Gimp, if you get serious, I know where there is a body in west Dayton.

I will get pics of mine at first light. It's in it's infancy but coming along slowly. I refer to it as my "torch cart".

Yup, need detailed pics of the o2 bottle rack and shelf. My 887 body is different.
