I found this out with my 108 repower. Side panels are different as well. Seems that the grill and hood get higher every series right up the the A3 where the front is higher than the back.

There are 2 different styles of that dog gear that goes on the shaft. Early ones (like yours) have the bolt through it. Newer ones have a set or grub screw in the side of the gear.
Transfer PTO should work.....maybe. As far as I know, there were 2 gear designs that are affixed to the transfer case. One is secured by a bolt into the shaft. And the other I seem to recall a grub (set) screw. My experience is that the older ones are bolted. See if your air shift is tapped for...
