What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Once the canvas smell is gone, it's time to replace them. I love the fresh smell of military canvas in the morning.

Don't expect the cover to keep contents completely dry. Sit stuff up off the floor. I had to install mine on a sunny day to stretch it out. I never did devolop a like for it and sold all my covers and installed a steel topper.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

The transfer case shifter is actually in the transfer case shifter hole. The depression towards and under the dash is for the transmission shifter. The manual SM465 swap is pretty much a bolt in but I'd much prefer to have a parts truck to pilfer through during the swap. Mid 80's didn't see a...

Yikes, didn't know folks used that stuff. Just gave away my last 3 PA 300 boxes and new speakers a few months back.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

The steering wheel was a straight swap. The same steering wheel was used in camaros and Z/28s as well. I have used these on just about every older GM I've ever owned. My M1008 has one as well and I know JW4x4 uses that same wheel. It's a super durable wheel, little thicker to hold and a little...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Today I spent some time with the M1010. Did the starter relay mod, pulled a rooftop spotlight wire that had been pulled back in the roof and added a Vega GT steering wheel. Last Saturday was the recessed receiver hitch. My next assault will be new switches in the focus lights.
