these vehicles don’t meet FMVSS requirements in several states, one is California, this too can be debated.

well, your just wrong….USMC trucks don’t have “off Hwy“ printed on the SF97, DLA trucks do…and you clearly never read your TSC approval letter on USMC trucks.

I thought this forum banned title and registration talk? Guess not anymore….every post about it is just a great tool for DMV investigators and Hwy patrol, think I’m kidding? I had a conversation with a “person” of knowledge and a revoked registration who was told flat out that they love these...
thats how Vermont does it…I’ve registererd many Hmmwv’s in Vermont and never received the Tags with the plate, it’s always been separate.
Vermont also does not issue titles on vehicles over 15yrs old, so if you wanted one, the vehicle has to be inspected.

Also, I believe Vermont is no longer registering hmmwv’s, they rejected my last with a letter stating they no longer will issue registration on them. Previously I had done many…
Making it off hwy only does not render the hmmwv worthless….
And I’m sorry, I’m in agreement that if the FMV is NOT in its original configuration, it should not classify as historical.
