Jeff, I should have known in 2014 you were there in Florida. After the GA rally, I hitched a ride with Kenny down to Florida, and visited my nephews, one of them living in Daytona Beach and the other one in New Smyrna Beach. I could have helped with the wreckers, or at least look them over...

Is Jaap a Dutch guy? The name certainly indicates so. Can you provide a link to that truck. I actually was lucky getting my M51A2, as close as a barn find you can imagine in the Netherlands. I know there are several Ward la France wreckers for sale in Austria and the Netherlands, but if a...

Already did so. Want to switch it for my M51A2? All these nice trucks and everybody is looking at the piece of rust.

Often new tires exceed the purchase of "scrap yard saves", especially if you really buy new or 80% tires because you need 10 of them. I only bought reasonable tires for the front, the rear has four on each side, so they still have the old original worn down US army tires.

NICE LOOKING TRUCKS ... That's all you can say ????. I would say this is close to blatant sadism. Then again, seeing your avatar, you probably have at least on nice looking MV as well. Standard 5-tons and certainly deuces are relatively easy to find still in Europe...

That's what I mean, I need an unrestored one. First, restoring is fun, second, I never would ahve the funds for a restored one, and just buying a completely ready restored truck somehow takes away the magic.

Why you can never find those things in Europe, dang.
