Ok, now I am tracking. Still check the rod end for crap... mine was full of sand and grease:)

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

Yea, you may need to have it relearn the shift points. You have come a long way with this truck. There is no cab lock. Are you referring to the folded bar assembly on the right frame rail? It doesn't lock the cab it keeps it from over-extending. In normal operation the cab should not tilt...

Cool! Alt output is low, what did the voltmeter read before you cranked it? The first check for that is if the alt is receiving excitation from Relay K11. This should happen as soon as the oil pressure light extinguishes in the annunciator panel after start...

Well if you got the fuel solenoid to go clunk, it now might start if you crank it:)

Well the solenoid must go clunk, or it wont run...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

So did the solenoid go clunk when you jumped it? Did you get fuel all the way thru the system like I described back in post #33? If so, it should have started if the lift pump in the governor is pumping fuel while cranking. You can see this with that plug on top of the secondary filter loosened...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

Its located at H57 on the schematic. TL29 is ground(has wires numbered 3015 and 3017 attached), TL28 is the power input(has wires 1441 and 54 attached to it). which normally receives 24V from relay K19 and ultimately CB79... You should be able to confirm ground with an ohmmeter once you break...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

If you disconnect the line and unscrew the elbow from the block you will find a spring and a sliding core. very basic pressure reg nets you about 15PSI when idling and 60PSI at higher RPM measured at the T on the secondary filter. If your bulb is working you should be able to push fuel thru to...

Looks like they just didn't want to clean it, so they sent it to DRMO :)

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

Yes that is the run solenoid on the side of the governor in your pic. That big hose over the secondary fuel filter that runs down is the crankcase breather(part of the filter mount assy). On top of the secondary fuel filter you will find a plug, you can loosen that and pump the primer until...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

MY 98 1079 is a WTEC II. What the others said! The trans controller and VIM are missing, that truck isn’t going anywhere unless towed/trailered. Your friend bought an ass pocket full of work... Buy another one and make this your parts truck?
