    M1078 won't shift past second gear

    It is just a Feed-thru bulkhead connector, the ends of its leads attach to the output speed sensor inside the transfer case. That will keep the trans in 2nd and your speedometer probably doesnt work either... first hit googling the part number, hope you can find one cheaper than this, perhaps...
