So all the other damage was done taking it off? On the forward side of the filter where the hard line from the lift pump enters the filter, there is a T fitting. Hook up a 100PSI gauge there and check the base fuel pressure there. You may have a regulator issue or clogged return path to the...

If it is doing it unloaded, it is probably leaking back thru the dryer outlet check valve in the upper dryer housing… there is a large nut top center of the housing with an elbow screwed into it. If you disconnect the outlet hose from the elbow, and unscrew that large nut from the upper cover...

Did you put an Oring in the groove on the new purge valve assembly? There is one on the old valve in your pic, but not on the new valve… When the governor reaches set pressure, it unloads the compressor and sends system air pressure down to that little plastic line attached to the bottom of...

I did say they were not strictly plug and play. They do fit you need to align them between the boxs in the lid… the loser profile plate helps alot. I have 1/8 aluminum in mine…

Yep, CB22 is the easiest way on an A0 To de-energize the fan solenoid and engage the fan. If this is an A1, the ECU provides the power, so the easiest way to manually engage the fan is under the passenger dash and un-plugging the fan solenoid… The solenoid when energized provides air to the...

The fan is activated by removing 28V. The 205F thermal sw in the upper rad pipe on an AO opens the circuit when if reaches that temp. Easiest way to turn it on is to pull the CB for the circuit. want to say it is CB22, but need to confirm that... you can also remove the passenger kickpanel...

Yep, because if you get into a situation where you lift one of those 4 rear wheels or float an axle(small ditch or rise), all the torque will escape there and the other axle will loose all its applied torque. Locking that balancing diff keeps torque moving equally to both axles… it is the same...

Well it says that governor should cut-in at 105PSI… CTIS can easily consume all the air the compressor can put out. Another possibility is the the CTIS switch is not resetting properly at the low point of 89 PSI, so CTIS continues to fill and is consuming all the air. When you drop the wet...

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

You have a couple things interacting here. CTIS cycles based on the pressure sw between ~117-89 PSI. The air fed to CTIS from the wet tank passes thru the air brake protection valve. This wont let any air out unless the tank pressure is above ~85 PSI(Saves at least 85PSI for the brake system...

if it is programmed higher, it will run 50% higher than whatever it is programmed for. Sounds like his is not programmed higher, which is the issue. 62PSI sounds like an odd pressure so @RRaulston you need to keep a close eye on what pressure it does go to when you fill the first time On the...

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

Well you can swap out the 0-100PSI PCU pressure transducer with a 0-150PSI unit(about $10) and that will fool the controller into about a 50% increase in pressure above the normal programmed levels. Thats around 82PSI in highway mode which is a much better range for the tires…

They don’t have a duckbill, just a plastic snap-on output horn/elbow. If one is making a different noise, there may be something in the horn or the valve core/sliding valve that is effecting airflow when it is in dump mode.

I believe Superman can reprogram them. The dump valves are noisy, kind of a higher pitched woosh as they dump air. Do they all sound the same? The front axle valve is on the passenger side of the transmission inside the frame rail, the rear axle valves are back over the axles. Yes it dumps...

Ok, for the dryer purge valve, another possibility as it is triggered by air sent from the governor when it unloads the compressor. If the governor is leaking air down that line it could be forcing that purge valve to leak. You can disconnect that 1/4” airline from the bottom of the dryer and...

Yours should be adjustable. The governor is on top of the air compressor, unscrew the white plastic cap and screw in the standard screw head a little with a screwdriver to raise the governor cutout pressure, then test it like in your video. Repeat untill it cuts out at 125...

No it should seal between purges. All the water and oil snot exit thru that purge valve it is either dirty or has a bad seal. There is a check valve on the output of the dryer to the wet tank. So when the engine shuts down the supply side including the dryer should empty.

Yea what third said, aux cooler only used on the tractor variant with the aux trans oil cooler radiator and fans, and the work light relay only used on the wrecker trucks. The K12 worklight relay is dead easy to convert into a 12v switched ignition relay. I did a video on it on my utube channel…

That fitting on the back is the vent port. It usually has a hose attached that runs into the center of the dash to a vent port in the floor up in front of the radiator. Is there not a hose attached to it? the treadle valve is a manual pressure regulator. It passes tank air from its input...

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

Yes you can do that to initiate a pressure check. I don’t think you can operate long term like that as the controller is looking for it to cycle in response to it using air from the wet tank during a fill. You can also connect a pressure gauge to the wet tank and measure switch resistance. The...
