CARNAC, First, the PEU-156R is a three phase input, and has 20 amp twist lock plugs. If your's is in good shape (all breakers working), you will be able to get the "A" circuit working with a 120V generator, and both the "A" and "B" with a 208/240 volt input. I'll try to bring mine along too...

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

We will probably be able to make sandwiches for lunch on Wednesday, if I can get an early enough start. What takes two hours in my Corolla takes a little over 3 in the deuce. I'm hoping to roll about 8am on Wednesday. Got to go by the Armory this week and get a Mermite can to feed...

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I've ordered 200 of the pin-on name tag holders so the first 200 people will be able to change clothes and still have their own name tag on. I don't want to have any posts on the specifics of the clothes changing, after all this is a family friendly site and Rally! Should cut down on the...

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Amy, Look forward to seeing you - I want to get a group picture of the MKT workers this year, in our aprons! Kenny, Thanks for the sentiment, I share it! And, as a reminder, those who work in the MKT get the meal they help with for free, which helps to bring down the price of participation!

Kenny, Can I suggest that you make the nametags a little different this year (if you make them). Using the same font size as last year, have the top line say "2011 SS GA Rally", the second line, in a larger font, with the SS name ( for Adam just put quote Ferro unquote because they don't make...

We did about 78 steaks last year. Hoping to go over 100 this year. Not everybody eats at the MKT. Those with their own cabins often cook there, while others bring coolers and make their own sandwiches, open cans, etc. and some eat at the restaurant at Durhamtown. I think a few are squeamish...

I also talked with the meat department at Publix, so they could sharpen up their pencils for the Saturday steak dinner fixins. We bought about 40 packs of steaks last year and I thought it would be nice to give them a heads up - so they don't run out - for this year!

WM, I have a set of the convoy signs from the MVPA, has both the 'Ahead" and the 'Follows' signs. Just have to remember to bring them. Kenny, I have some of those LED lights too (thanks for the link). On a fresh set of batteries I've had them on blink for over 32 hours so far - still going...

Looks like that would be Oct 24-28 (Wed-Sun), 2012, unless you are trying to push it into November (Oct 31- Nov 4).

Weeds have grown a bit, but will be bush hogged down before we arrive. Horses were very nosey, the RV lot was FULL - DT is doing a booming business at least this weekend! Should hear from the others over the next couple of hours on the condition of the trails and the hardball convoy.

Dave, As we type, the ants are having their last supper. Save the lighter fluid equivalent for the consumption by others! I'm bringing some Polish lighter fluid for papabear, but he'll probably share a little - WM has already had some and approved it.

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Well, Clinto had a group of us meet him at the rally site and do a recon. WM went off to nail down the hardball convoy, while others went out to check out the trails. I had a small issue on the power since someone has 'permanently' reserved RV site 65, but Lori and Mike (Durhamtown) think we...

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I use AMDRO, but it usually takes 48 to 72 hours to work, and MUST be done by package directions (IE One Tablespoon sprinkled around the mound, no closer than six inches from the edge of the mound, put out early in the morning, or about an hour before dark) or it will not be effective. Putting...

Since I don't have the second M109 converted into a pantry truck yet, I'll see if one of the other guys that says they want to come to being the freezer I had with me in 2009. When the second pantry truck is completed, that freezer will be in it, along with another be.. er, bottle cooler, yeah...

papabear, We won't let you starve, but then, after the Bison Grass Vodka, you may not know if or what you've eaten! And, there's always pot washing to do (just make a "will work for food" sign!).

Official 2011 SS Ga Rally Info thread

ralbelt, If push comes to shove, I've got RV slots 64 and 65 reserved for the AC power and water. Salafrae's dad camped on one in 2009, and Pete (pctrans) parked on one at the 2010 rally. They are empty otherwise, so just bring a tent and sleeping bag (or purchase both from one of the many...

I talked with Adam on the phone. We can set up the field sinks for washing pots and pans on his and not have to go down to ground level. I'll get with him at the VA Rally and discuss details. He'll also have a couple of M-59 ovens so we can cook grits, boil water and still have two making...
