Rather than getting a used one, perhaps visiting a NAPA can yield you a cross refrence to a new one. Shocks aren't typically very expensive unless you are getting gas pressurized, remote reservoir units. Saying that, I got 28 of them (New Surplus) for the HEMTT at $14.25 each, including motor...

The only sticker I was tempted to put on was an "Obummer". I didn't want the phones at Ft Lewis ringing off the hook, I think too highly of our persons in uniform to do something so childish.

I drive it with a plate in the glove box. It looks too military for most cops, they can get a soldier in trouble through the chain of command but have no power over them directly. When in doubt, most cops don't want the bother of being wrong. Of the thousands people that have seen the truck...

I don't think they ever saw it, I didn't use the horn because they might have hit the brakes and I'd have gone over it. I pulled out the roll of tape out at Dan's. I was using it two days before to make a fine line of silicone in a gap in the front window seal. "So, that still doesn't explain...

I almost got a Miata once, it merged under the front of the truck at dusk and I saw its taillights through my window in the floor. You should see the 26" chrome rims I have picked out for it!

I just ran the crane, trying not to take off fingers, hands and feet. The crane was designed to move cargo quickly, not small increments, thanks for all your patience! The real work was done by, in no particular order: Dan, Matt (told me what to do), Brad (has more energy than a man his age...

If you are refering to us southbound folks, I believe our ETA at Dan's is 0900-0915. It is 43 miles from our 0815 meeting point to Dan's house, the last number of miles is spotted with traffic lights. I could ignore them but even the HEMTT has it's limits, all it takes is one concrete truck...

This just in . . . I just came back from a local MV meeting and was told that Brad showed up at the last meeting saying the 4th Mini Rally is at his yard. So, Brad is now holding the event? :x :soapbox: :cookoo:

Now the chance of rain says 90% and heavy at times. The good news is the HEMTT and I are the only ones likely to be standing out in it. Oh yeah, and you people going to Brad's early. rofl

He'll have to learn the hard way! Wait til he has to do the points in the dist. . . . dual points, no big deal right? WRONG, they alternate breaking and making the circuit, they have to be set exactly 45 degrees apart AND the engine is static timed, NO strobe, to 1-3 degrees ATDC. All advance...

Just kidding, I have one. I took it apart for the ends and use them to charge batteries once in a while. Other times I charge individually to keep the batteries in balance.
