LMTV Shocks Absorbers
I only measured one bolt. All of the shocks should be the same though. I have had pretty new shocks they all compress about the same. Made to dampen impacts thats about it. -
LMTV Shocks Absorbers
LMTV shock bolts measure just shy of 16mm. Rancho RS999036 is 36 inches and compresses to 21.3 inches that should be enough travel I think. Bolt hole on the Ranchos is listed at 15.875mm. The stock ones compress to 20.94 inches by spec and open to a minimum of 33.26 inches. -

I have used ones. You can move them by hand they are just made to absorb a quick shock. -

No they look a lot longer. At least on the 5ton mtv versions. Not sure about the deuce ones. The mtv has a set of shocks on each axle. -

I need a new shock too. It just so happens the shocks sit right in front of the brake cans and someone had previously caged the brake but had to put a big dent in the shock to do so.
