    Original cap was smashed when I picked it up at Red River Army Depot. Still did not leak. The hose vent ones usually break off, allowing water inside.

    Standby I will walk down and check the opening size Edit; The opening on my replacement cylinder, with a new hat cap ( 2+ years ago) is 1 5/8” The hat cap should fit yours just fine.

    Zed254 is correct. The surplus hat caps were cheap and plentiful on eBay two plus years ago I’ve been using them on both my trailers with zero issues. No moisture, No corrosion and brakes work perfect. Plus it looks better than a hose hanging down in my opinion.
