Its an 8.3 turbo motor and isn't much louder, if any than when it had the muffler. Sounds a little more like a commercial dump truck in the low gears.
I used 4" exhaust pipe. It was a leftover cutoff section, I never measured it but I would say it was 4'-5' in length (I don't think it was a full 5' though).

Yea, like a pullin' truck or a mud truck on tractor tires. I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this, but I primarily use my truck off-road/wheelin'. I was thinking to mock something up with the hood off and see if I like it before I start cutting anything.
Very nice. I was contemplating doing something similar but I was able to find that 4' length of 4" exhaust pipe laying around.
My current thought, and possibly next attempt will be to run a 5" straight up through the hood if I can figure out a way to cleanly install it with the tilt front...
Hopefully this works correctly this time. I've been having issues with photos posting side-ways. I will try to get a "finished" photo, this was just to see if my friend liked the angle.
