    Ok...I changed the video setting to public, sorry about that! You really should watch the video, it's a riveting tale of fumbled rulers, excellent special effects including upside down camera, finger over the microphone, etc.

    If you guys are needing a pattern for the brush guard, let me know if you want a template off my K18. I have a request for a pattern from another owner, and it would be no problem to trace out another. I was going to do a youtube video for him showing the mounting points, metal thickness etc...

    Papabear There is a article page 12 at: http://www.gtcpoci.info/2013-04_GMC_Times_web.pdf about Walter Heinigers K-18. In one of the small photos you can see the steps hanging on the door entrance, and in the article he states that it stores on the door hanging on pins. Leads me to think...

    Pretty sure the braces on the door were for hanging/storing the metal step. I think I have a photo somewhere showing the step hanging on the door.

    If you need a template of the grill guard for fabrication, I could put a big piece of paper over mine and rub a pattern out for you.
