i'm aware of the stock radio bed's design and how it is setup for flexing. i would never put a duece bed on it, they're to heavy and ridgid. i would do a simple lightweight flatbed with flexible mounting.
i have it priced at 6300 so i don't think 8000 will happen but yes if someone offered...
i'm worried that the fact that the frame appears cut will cause a loss of interest but we'll see. any idea how far past the spring supports the frame usually went?
well the bed is off and it is relisted....we'll see if it yields any better results in finding a new owner. i would paint it but, if i were to paint it i would rather build a bed for it first and paint both at the same time... we'll see what happens this time around, if it doesn't sell i'll...
well i can honestly say that i'm having no real interest with the "pepsi" bed. i hate to go through the effort of removing it so i dropped the ebay price down to the lowest possible price....maybe it'll move. sure would be easier.
that photo is the rear where the generator was mounted. this is behind the frame, the yellow things you see are the shocks.
how far behind the shock mounts should a STOCK frame go? i'm trying to figure out if they cut the frame or not.
had one person look at it today....didn't make an...
i tossed it on ebay for 7 days at 9999.99 or best offer. i figured i'd give it a chance to sell WITH the bed on it first so i don't go through all the hassle of removing it just to find out the strange person who bought it Wanted that bed on it.
once the auction is over, if it's not sold...the...
i want nothing more than to tear the bed off of it but as some have suggest....it might be what a buyer is looking for...so, will try with bed...if it doesn't sell, bed comes off.
if it were a doka cab i would probably keep it as the kid would find it fun... 2 seater really kills your fun levels when you have a kid.
it's sold 3 times that i'm aware of, 1 in an unknown location in 2009, once in march of 2010, and then today. i wish i could find more info about it when...
i have 2 cucv's, a duece, the unimog, and a handful of quads, dirtbikes, rails, etc... i haven't went out and played on anything in....2 years. no time.
well like i said, i overpaid... i have 5700 into it as it sits....by the time i paint it and put a different bed on it, i might be lucky to make anything. i got caught up in the auction.... it happens sometimes.
i think a duece bed would be a bit heavy...i was just going to grab a flatbed off of craigslist (theres plenty of cheap ones on there) though i think a dropside bed would be much cooler than a straight flatbed
something everyone who's making negative comments fails to consider is due to the fact that pepsi put a buttload of money into "making" this thing...the body is in GREAT shape, no dents...the interior is great, the top is like new, the drivetrain is good, and it has 15xxx original KMs (under 10k...
would 8-9k be a realistic expectation out of it, painted the appropriate green with a flatbed? any idea how much a flatbed would raise the value vs no bed?
hey guys. first off...please refrain from jokes, we all know it's ugly...nuff 'said.
so i bought this thing today, planning to sell it in the future.
my question is, should i remove the bed and sell it bedless, remove the bed and try to find a flatbed (significantly lengthening the...
