Must be kinda freaky for the driver buttoned up like that, the bow wave right at eye level. But better that than having the wave come over the top and into your lap, I guess.
Here's one of a V150-s, again from the 1981 brochure, and a pic from Soldiers Magazine showing the safety ropes attached to all four corners of a Dragoon during platform testing at Ft. Knox. It makes it easier to find the vehicle if it hits the bottom, I guess.

Detroit PD got at least one V100 Commando in 1968. This pic was in the Free Press sometime in the spring, kind of a "we're gonna be ready" promo. Coulda been Spring of 1969, don't remember which year was the first riot, 67 or 68. This was the following year, anyway.
