    Just wondering if anyone had a suggestion for the #17 wire weirdness. Unplugging works, sort of, but it ain't right. It bothers me!

    I want to provide an update: as described, sometimes the LED headlight low beam remains off when the light switch is switched on to drive. One headlight on low and the other dark is not cool to drive around with. when I unplug wire #17 (high beam) at the light, the low beam LEDs come on...

    Wow, interesting discussions. Thanks, guys! :-) I have one last spare LED headlight left and wil swap it in, after checking that low beam circuit and the lo/hi switch. If that light dies, it'll be back to halogens.

    I am Mr. Lucky when it comes to LED headlights. From my first set, one died almost instantly (and yes, I took great care grounding them properly). Failure mode was: low beam went out, but all LED (including the ones used by low beam) lit up nicely on high beam. I replaced with two "new" ones...
