It took me awhile to figure out the trick to the boot clamps. Most of the time, the boot won't stay on the groove on it's own. And it seems like you'd need 4 or 5 hands to hold it on all the way around so you can put the clamp on. The trick is put the ring on the boot and tighten it just...

You have it correct. Side A faces the bearings, side B faces the outside. Bearing preload: I know the TM's call for the method they do, but once you've done enough bearings there's a "feel" to it. Not too loose, not too tight. Most people err on the side of too tight, which is worse. I'd...

With all the work you've had to do to that thing, whoever sold it to you ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Nope-waaay too tall. Nothing is available premade, GI or civvy that will fit. I looked. Only idea I've come up is a a way to mount some ammo cans above the tank and make them removable (i.e. some kind of mounting system like sliders or such).

Come over tomorrow, I have plenty of the correct 90wt. stuff. When you go to Napa, the 5 gallon bucket of what you want is part # 65-205.

I think we have a spare here of unknown condition. I can have my radiator shop check it out if you like................ I'll be going within a few days to drop off another one for another truck.

The metal wiper motors are the only way to fly, unless you have the 24V A3 upgrade. My '87 came with them and I have scrounged a set for the '67 that will go in it when I am done. Between the metal motors and the civvy arm/blade upgrade I did, the last thunderstorm I drove through actually...

I am waiting to do my USAF truck until after the rally, so if it gets mud/water intrusion, I don't have to do it twice. 2cents

Step 1. Turn it up until it melts a piston/headgasket. Step 2. Turn it down 1 flat. Step 3. Tow it over here and we'll fix it. Step 4. Profit!

I never considered that, but it makes sense. Is your carrier ok?

There is a good thread somewhere that details a way to troubleshoot the flasher so you can verify it isn't a ground issue. If you can't find, let me know.

I don't think I'd be terribly concerned about that. I know when I drove your truck to my parent's house (30 miles, mostly interstate) I checked them and I wasn't concerned. There was a good thread (I thought neilhendrix was the author but I can't find it now) that had the actual temps and...

I wish the sound on videos taken with my Evo sounded that good. Those wipers are so much better than the stock ones or the "upgrades" (i.e. Saturn).

The replacement showed up, so ended up replacing all 3 fuel filters. :D
