yes air activated; but that is controlled by an electric air solenoid.... so maybe call it a hybrid electric/air controlled? Defaults to on if air is not supplied.

Both rear axles are active all the time.... does not matter if locked or unlocked. How they act is controlled by the locker. the locker is not in one of the axle diffs. it is inside the between axles diff. (inside the Power Divider Box- the big chunk tied to middle alxe) That diff allows for...

SWEEET. ... Looks like you likely got the feet to fit the FMTV too. Folk sadly sell pair of feet for not much less as you paid for the tow bar.

best guide for things military tow bars we see on the market to civilians. It seems to have changed slightly in active duty cause they have other bars now? http://vertexintl.com/media/2018/09/02-US-Army-Tow-Bar-Smart-Book.pdf

look up the NSN number on the tag. Might be the light duty tow bar and not adequate for our size rigs. If it is the IbisTek... make sure it is not the one that was fazed out due to breakages. Dont think it is though https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/towing-lmtv-via-ibis-bar.154055/

@Suprman which of the CTIS in the MTV family had CTIS control boxes that were typically preset to higher pressures than the rest of the others? Was/is it particular sub models for heavier tasks... if so which ones??

Think the MTV are programmed higher for HWY than the LMTV already so the starting point prior to the doubling is higher. Though you may have accounted for that in your numbers.

maybe lube/renew the rubber duck bills and any other rubber you can in the system a little with MOTHERS and they may not squeak as much/last longer Im not sure if Will ( @Suprman ) can program them different than what you have. Under impression there are two choices in programming and that...

there is a thread on here you can probably find about changing the transducer to a higher pressure one? This will up the pressure on all default settings of CTIS. It is located under the power panes. Some folk have also done an air solenoid to switch between the OEM transducer and the...

appreciate the info. Neat trick. IMHO add a 12v inline; petrol type is fine, aux fuel pump as close to the tank as you can and put it on a switch. This can be used to prime and can be used to get you by if you get an air leak on a trip. In that case you just leave it on. Your hand primer not...

with a threaded coupler you would not need a post... you would bolt into the coupler to hold your cable. https://belmetric.com/steel-coarse-din-6334-3x-dia-hex-coupler-standoff-nut/?sku=NLONG4X12CLZ&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxN_Hgcas-wIVCo_ICh0GYgdKEAQYByABEgJVnfD_BwE
