    Starter bolt woes

    I used a gear reduction starter, since they put less strain on the block. Please explain how a gear reduction starter puts less strain on the block. I am anxious to hear this. Where would the strain be transformed to? Just asking. Reminds me of which weighs more a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers.
