Not true. I fact checked that. I buy lifetime warranted parts because I used to keep vehicles so long that the lifetime of the parts I replaced had lasted the lifetime and now the replacement part was free. I am talking everything. Tie rod ends, brakes, radiators, heater cores and all. In my...

Since the voltmeter only works when the key is on. Could it be grounded thru a relay that provides ground only when the switch is on. I am poor at electrical but I eventually figure it out. But if I recall that hot wire to the voltmeter is always hot. That's why it sparks when you have the...

The Goodyear Duratrak is the best tire for the M series pick up and cab chassis combination. over the years as the Goodyear Work Horse evolved into the Duratrak I have bought and worn out many sets. on the M1009 IMHO the Goodyear MTR Kevlar makes the look and performs flawlessly on and off road...

I do like to see that the stock resistors are still hooked up and working. Good Deal.

Looks good. May I advise to go the extra and get a new set of cables made up or at least get the solder on crimped cable ends. The bolt on ones are not the best way to go and with the draw on the starter you will be making hot connections with the bolt on cable clamps. just some advice. Not my...

It is a very simple mechanical system on the stock CUCV. The engine has very few issues. If I were to want to make a reliable vehicle of it I would consider going over the engine. Heads and all gaskets, rebuilt injection and lift pump all seals. And having the transmission gone over at a...

Doing that swap will devalue the vehicle. It has a very stout and well proven driveline and engine. No race car by any means but definitely a tried, true and reliable truck. I have been driving them hard for over 25 years in private use and completely stock. They have over worked and outlast...
