Replaced the oil pressure sensor and pulled the new GP card and re-installed the card that came with the truck...fixed all my problems.
Lesson Learned: if it isn't broken yet, don't fix it.
I installed the doghead starter relay, replaced my old black GP relay with a Napa ST85, installed the wiring for my TinyTac tacometer.
Working on replacing the glow plugs.
I found that due to the water flow through the heating hoses into the heater core, I had to put shutoff valves in both hoses between the radiator and evaporator.
Once I did that and stopped the flow of hot water into the evaporator, it blew some darn cold air. We measured 42F air coming out of...
that's the place. Unfortunately, they don't sell the CUCV kit anymore, as they were having too many problems getting the add-on evaporator.
BUT.... as they say, there is a way around it. NAP sent me their 265 series evaporator which is a replacement unit that has defrost, a/c and heat in one...
Lets see...
1. Finished installing the NAP A/C kit
2. Installed oil and water temp gauges (added tees so both dummy lights and gauges work)
3. Installed a dome light (used one of the old square 24V blue/white light mounts)
Next on list: doghead relay, new GP card, replace glow plugs, new...
Finished installing the NAP a/c kit and had the system filled and leak checked. Cold air! Put all the bits and pieces that I took off to put the a/c system in back on. Wired in a 24v distribution box on the rear passenger sidewall to push power to overhead 24v dome lights. Continued to list...
