    Using a flat fan spray pattern and holding the wand at a low angle to the painted surface you should be quite impressed with the results. Try a commercial rental business to rent one instead of buying or borrowing one.

    I would suggest trying a high pressure washer first, to remove the loose ( possibly all ) paint. I am talking about at least 5000 psi.
