    Only way to properly clean the tank out is drop it! And if I was dropping I'd just replace it.... Tanks can be had for $100 new. that will eliminate the contaminated fuel possibility......

    Water denser than fuel, hence will lie on the bottom. I personally would have drained all of it out and started fresh!

    We had a waste oil heater in the shop i worked at (retirement job) and always had issues with donated oil.... Set the fuel containers outside (0 degrees here this morning) If containers sit water should separate out and freeze. Then pour the diesel off, leaving ice in container. Still only...
