or just do what I did and use a 7" grinder, disconnect the rear drivline, put the front on jackstands and put it in gear. (poor man's lathe). Make sure your front jackstands are up to the task first.
if its the same wheel as the mk17's and other Mk48 trailers then they will not support the 16.00 r 20's, they have a semi rare 16.00 r 21 that afaik is only available for those trailers.
by the way, installing 16.00 r 20's right now and found out that you have to use 20oz of equals (ballast media for balancing tires) per tire. About $20 per tire gets you smooth sailing, not bad trade for not pissing blood.
this is why I am hesitant to be concrete on my answer but I have never seen a hydraulic reservoir or lines going to one so I can't be certain. Where as on the M35A3 its all up front and visible.
No the 900 series is still pto, just the m35a3 is hydraulic afaik. To convert it is not a big deal, you can go here to find the odds and ends to put it together. As far as what motor, I would call those guys and quiz them, its a little over my head. Typically you could just run a motor with...
Yes that is correct it is two identical pumps joined together by a removable splined shaft. You can take the pump apart and remove the rear pump and put it back together. The gaskets are reusable, you will need to buy 8 shorter hex bolts and locktite everything back together, takes about 15...
just some general clarification on your questions. The reservoir needs to be big enough to have a 1 minute run time capacity, so in the case of the 920 it is a parallel pump producing a total of 44 gmp which is why the reservoir is 50 gallons with 44 gallon full mark. I agree that you should...
One thing for sure, this thread was for Soni so I will bow out a bit and turn it over to him since I am still a huge fan of his truck and his abilities as well.
Andy is correct there are auxiliary ports on the 916-920 for adding an additional circuit. You will want to check and see what the demand is for the crane to make sure. My National is bigger than the wayjax and only requires 14 gpm, now I modified the stock pump and took out one of the halves...
Well the good news is that as of the 1-1-2011 the trucks are now officially 30 full years old which means "Collector Vehicle Status". Now that may work in my state but may not in others. I registered it as a cargo instead of truck, and I had to insure it as a commercial for $28 month through...
nope that is another thing, location is key, I live in the great northwest and I flew to Ft Polk La and drove it back. Total expense including fuel and airfare for two was right around $7500 which was a smokin deal when I bought mine. I think that these trucks being in the know makes dealers...
bid on everything and hope one sticks.. I was bidding on 6 when I won mine, if figured that who ever was bidding against me got soo sick of me that they just let me have one. And yes it was the very last one not to have been closed on the auction that I won and surprisingly the cheapest of the...
