    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

No it's a free country -so you can use any name you wish as long as it is not offensive. :driver: (I know it was a joke) :jumpin:

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Don't give him any ideas. He might do it. Talk about a mobile hot spot....LOL

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

That is a cool looking truck! It looks like it came out of the factory that way. Enjoy your new ride.:tank:

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Yes they do ROCK. I have an air ride seat in all my keeper trucks. Comfy ride and keeps the gut off the steering wheel. All your work looks factory. Very professional!

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Seems like a small dump for such a long truck. Maybe make up for it with taller sides so it can carry more stone/sand?

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

WOW that looks stock. Nicest truck on the road!

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Simple. (Assuming it is a a wired sensor VS fluid line) Use your thumb. Get the new sensor ready to insert (taped) and just take out the old one and put your thumb over the hole. Then just get the new sensor ready to insert and thread it on. That is how I replaced the temp sensor on my...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I think he was talking about a HMMTT cab not a M939 cab.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I am glad I got to you on time. I have done a bunch of gas piping in my past so i know the importance of using unions in threaded pipe work. Do you cut and thread your own pipe or do you buy pre-threaded only? BTW I think your welding skills are top notch. I love the detail you put into the...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I got a suggestion. Cut the horizontal pipe below the filter and either put a quick disconnect there or a UNION fitting. That way you don't have to redo all the plumbing.

I hope he didn't get hurt! I wish he would chime in and update us.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Have not gotten any updates in a while. He must be busy working to finance the project. :tank:

Maybe you can put a sliding drawer or tray on the bottom portion for cooking (depending on the temperature inside) and insulate the top of it for storage above the cooking area.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Actually the last time I saw that idea was American Pickers. Frank Fritz tried to cook some food on the engine on one of their trips with mixed results.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Maybe a barbeque above the engine. You can place the meat on the BBQ before you start on a trip an let the engine heat cook the meat. By the time you reach the destination the meat is ready to eat! (you did say to keep in mind the heat from the engine) :burn: :doghead:

Like the truck doesn't burn enough fuel already!

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I was going by memory. I guess my memory isn't that good! Nice picture! I take my comment of lowering the doghouse back. But the compliments stay! :tank:

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I would like to make a comment here. First I would like to say that your work is amazing! I looked at the profile picture above and i think i would have kept the engine cover lower than the cab. I think the coolness of the Hemtt is the cab out there on it's own. If the engine cover was...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Those forks look dangerous sticking out like that! Be careful out there. (maybe use some safety boots on the end of those forks while working around them) (available on AMAZON for $12.50) Hate to see a talented guy like you get injured on the job. I wonder if those extension-ladder boots...
