Trade security. Feds. Mainly just making sure you are a citizen of the good ol' USA, and havn't gotten busted illegally exporting or anything like denounced citizenship, etc.
Oh. My EUC cleared quickly from other EUC checks by GL. That alone will take up to 3-4 months or less. Then they start the SF97 after you are cleared so as to not get paperwork rolling on what could be a non-sale. I figured I would be doing good to make it into my title office with my forms...
First EUC through GP, but not through GL. Auction won 6/27/17.
EUC submitted to GP 6/28/17.
EUC sent to feds 07/03/17.
EUC approved 7/17/17.
Not too long of a wait. Glad I got two on same auction day.
Not saying I was one of them. Especially in the example you used! Heck, I gotta be patient enough in the humvee realm to save up the cash to buy one before I even get to start dealing with the GP/government drama!
Wasn't there someone earlier in this thread saying how they do indeed export the humvees. I know that, to me, exporting them defeats the purpose of the EUC and it upsets me that we have to go through the EUC drama for nothing if they do allow some buyers to export them.
All the bayonets too. Also, gotta remember they are government jobs which overly spoil their (our) employees. That means one whole heck of a lot of freebie days off.
Good things come to those who wait! One time I ordered a rare barrel for a very (the most) common rifle and it took 18 months. After that, I scoff at a mere 6 months. That's just my stance.
