Thanks again. Didn't realize your "unplug the fault indicator" instruction was addressing that clicking issue.
@Light in the Dark - looking for replacement gauges
Separate subject - replacement gauges. I need one (1) 88-21103 fuel gauge for a 5Kw and one 88-21104 oil pressure gauge for a 15Kw. Saw this posting for fuel gauges - https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-fuel-gauge-fits-5-200kw-gensets-88-21103-beede-945331-6625-01-366-0193-70-ea.199406/...
Ok, did part of what you suggested. ( No, I haven't read through the entire TM.)
I followed your process on both 804As of trying to get fuel up to the injectors to get the units started. I know there is fuel up to the injector pump on both. When I push to priming pump, I hear what sounds...
No photos or video necessary. I must have been hearing things when I operated the switch. No pump noise in the prime position. I stand corrected, sir. Thanks.
Now for another issue with the 804B. Runs great. Connected an ECU to it. During first test, everything seemed to run fine and...
I was finally able to circle back to working on our 15KW gen sets. We have two (2) 804As and one (1) 804B. One (1) each 804A and 804B are skid-mounted. The other 804A is skid mounted. When I start the two skid-mounted units, they both have an electric pump that you can hear running in the two...
Found the manual pump. The issue I'm having is that I don't hear an electric pump running when I turn the switch to the prime/run position. This is the 1st of 3 15Kw units that we've recently purchased. Haven't done much so far, just tinkering. It cranks, but doesn't start. Haven't had time...
Got an MEP-804A on which the electric priming pump doesn't work. The pre-heat function appears to work, as do the gauges, and the engine cranks. The unit that had this gen set drained all the fuel, so the lines probably need to be purged of air. I've put 5 gallons in it. I could troubleshoot...
