Dan, found the carb manual. It looks like the two main body cover plate gaskets and the air horn to throttle body gasket must be a matched set. If the main body gaskets are cork it will lift the Air horn up and suck air. There is not a shim in the kit. The 885FFG section only is 28 pages I can...
My gut feeling is like the gasser M35s. Most I've seen have the exhaust out the back with little support which puts it all on the manifold flange. Just a theory.
All right, All right-don't paint the fish! I'm going to Casper to pick up the bed for the M59 and the GMC PTO as soon as I can get ahold of the guy. I just also won a M101A1 at McCoy so i'll be there end of SEP or so. (BTW clean that spray gun).
