    Dual Circuit Brake Engineering Thread

The simple answer is: if it was as easy as everyone says-they would have it and they don't![thumbzup]

The systems are basically the same. You just have to find equitable parts and not something off a pinto, remember there's 13K of weight here.

It doesn't matter what you want to call it. If one is recreating the GOVT approved split system for the late A2's you need that part. When you are figuring how to install it the Manual calls it the pressure differential switch. When you go to order the part by NSN the GOVT calls it a...

Someone who has the hummer manuals look up this distribution block/proportioning valve for one of them. I just got off the phone with a parts distributer who has the same NSN listing and they say it also fits the Hummer and they are $135.20. That would only leave the master cylinder mount left...

The valve I listed is P/N 5934092. That is the same one you show as a differential valve in the same manual. The NSN is 2530-01-257-7705, which is a proportioning valve made only by AMG. This info comes straight from WEBFLIS. FYI

Look at the useable on codes on page F-5 M35A2 W/W and M35A2C W/W are included. If you look in the A3 manual 9-2320-386-24P, The A3 uses p/n 2233867 for the Master CYL, 12448508 for the Bracket, and 2232244 for the resevoir. Those are different part numbers than what this manual is calling for...

That is a bad pic from the manual. It uses a dual resevoir master cylinder and the 2nd airpack is added. It is a split system.

The manual listed above is for modified M44A2's NOT A3's.

The manual for the split brake system is the SMI 9-2320-209-14&P. The “main” additional components are: 1. Park brake switch (on E-brake)-Saturn Surplus has these. 2. Brake warning light (on dash)-Saturn Surplus also has these. 3. Dual Reservoir Master Cylinder-Memphis has these...

The master cylinder used is definately not from a K30 or a Hornet Wagon. The part numbers are all in the Split system manual. Memphis sells the master cylinders for around $250. The hard part to find is the master cylinder mount which only comes from AMG.

I talked to Tom 2-3 years ago about it. He said he can order just about anything from AMG. (AMG will NOT sell to individuals). I completely went through the split system manual and highlighted the hard to find needed parts. I'll look for it tonight. There's only 4-5 parts that will be hard to...

    Dual Circuit Brake Engineering Thread

Just call Tom at CSI and order the handful of parts needed to split the system like a late 80's Air Force A2. If I remember right there's only 4-5 specific parts needed, the rest are common (like a 2nd airpack).
