It finally quit raining long enough to sand blast. The jeep we picked up in KY is beyond saving. We will have two donor jeeps now. Now for the long restore project. I thought while we were sand blasting, I'd blast and repaint some rusty farm equipment. I first got 30 sacks of sand. It took...

It continues to rain, so I can't sand blast the jeeps. I thought I would check out the fuel tanks a couple days ago and they were full of crap. I soaked them with solvent for a couple days and it didn't seem to dissolve the crap, so I cut them apart today. Hopefully, I can sand blast next week...

I hope to. The generator is seized up. Hopefully, it can be repaired.

My Nephew and I are restoring the jeeps together. He and I drove to Kentucky last weekend and picked up a 4th jeep. By looking at the pics we received from the Seller, we had thought is was in better condition as far as rust. It's bad too. It was also X-Cut when demilled. Someone welded it back...

I rebuilt the original motor mount, built a new one and installed them today. . May as well start repairing the sheet metal in these areas now.

His place is only 3 hours from me. I intend to go down next month. I had no idea he had that much..........

The original motor mounts on MUTT #1 was also cut with a torch. I spent this evening removing them. The mounts on the Donor MUTT is too far gone to use. One of these mounts is basically still there, just cut to ****. I will piece it back together and use it as a pattern to build another.

I spent the last couple of days repairing the transmission mounts on MUTT #1.The originals had been removed with a torch. I took the mounts from MUTT #3, the Donor, but they were so far gone, I could only use the top caps. Time to bend & weld......... I built new mounts, using the original...
