If you do have a meter you'll want to connect the meters negative lead to chassis ground and the positive lead to S5-5. Start the generator. 1) You should measure ~24 volts DC there. If you find the problem IS the switch then.... A potential replacement candidate for the 8906K4519 S5 Interruptor switch is a Honeywell 2TL1-70. They are about $39. The contact operation of the 2TL1-70 is slightly different than the 8906K4519 so some wires would go to different terminals. I...- kloppk

Looking for interrupt switch
When you lift the switch UP and hold it up does the green contactor light illuminate? Does it then go out when you release the switch? These switch's seldom go bad so I'd suspect the issue with the contactor not closing is due to something else.- kloppk
