    They are found in some M35a2s coming right from the government. Now I don't think any deuces came from the factory with a LDS-465 but some have been repowered with them by the military. I've seen a few come through GL.

    I've always contended that the best way to get higher HP out of these engines would be to lower the compression. You'd loose your multifuel capability though. The high compression generates a lot of heat and puts more strain on the lower end.

    I'm still not buying the whole IP/injector deal on the LDS. I know they're different but can they really make that much more power? You can melt down a LDT with the factory fuel pump and injectors. If the LDS IP and injectors deliver that much more fuel, what keeps the LDS from melting down...

    I think the theory behind the oil groove is to help keep piston temps a little lower (more fuel equals more heat). The way I see it is the injection pump is a moot point. You can turn up a LDT IP up more than enough to melt the engine so I don't see how you'd gain hp with a LDS IP. I could...
