The local Blue Star Moms chapter holds a quarterly packaging party where the goal is to pack 100 care packages for troops overseas. The packing party is held at a local restaurant. Then the care packages are loaded in a cargo truck for transport to the post office.
The event was a success...
She’s on car show duty today.
This event will benefit First Responders and an organization that supports active duty military and veterans.
While today highlights the 1932 Ford (and 90 years of American history), the car show is open to most vehicles that are from 1972 and older.
Thank you!
And good question, Ahab. I don’t know. I elected to have chocolate chip waffles for desert and never made it by the actual dessert station.
After that meal, I needed a 2.5 ton truck to get home!
Use #687 - Deuce on display
My Deuce was on display at the Honor Cafe in Conroe, Texas today. It is a great veteran-owned restaurant and the Easter Sunday buffet was amazing.
Use #669
Meet some friends for lunch because one wants to give you a seat from a WWII bomber that their dad had in the garage for the last 10 years. Why give it to me? Because I’m the friend with all the old military stuff.
I'm not familiar with the 9C1, so I just googled it. Are you talking about a Chevrolet car with a police package? What kind of car, a Caprice?
If you are asking for opinions, I'm biased. It would be a simple choice for me to keep the Deuce...
Use #530...
Delivering special cargo!
I dropped a few packages off at the post office this morning that are going overseas for some young men that are currently deployed.
That's a good looking truck! And your first post too... Welcome!
If you can make it, bring that Deuce and join us at the Texas rally in March. There are details on the rally here:

Truck or Treat!!!!
The local Cowboy Church had a "Truck or Treat" event this evening for Halloween. One of the Pastors asked me to bring the Deuce for his display. I also brought a ghillie suit for the kids to wear. There were a couple fire trucks, a tractor truck, a concrete truck, my Deuce...
I got home this evening to find a neighbor's Ford pick-up planted in his yard. They were very grateful when I offered to get the Deuce.
I had to use three tow straps to reach the Ford. I didn't want to get too far off the concrete and risk sticking my truck. It is still pretty wet here...
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas
I got the Christmas lights on the house today. Needed the Deuce to get the job done. It's the only vehicle I have that can haul my ladder...
